Job description
Our client is a UK firm of consultants. They now have a contract requirement in Abu Dhabi for a Senior Estimator who has significant experience of estimating for rail related projects. You must be British or European, you must have a BSc in construction, engineering or quantity surveying from a recognised university, you will need to have worked on major rail projects, have a stable career history, have some experience of managing other people, be able to demonstrate expertise of Estimating core processes and procedures, have good experience in EPC estimating practices and methods, have knowledge of engineering performance, manual labour performance, equipment production and derivation of manual and non manual wage salary rates. You will also need knowledge of current industry and technical developments and be proficient in all Microsoft packages. You will also have good experience of general estimating systems, be skilled in apprising management and client for the quality and risks of conceptual and detailed estimates and have excellent skill in oral and written communication with the ability and experience of making presentations to management and the client. This is a contract role for 6 months or longer and our client will provide accommodation and flights.
